Madhya Pradesh govt announces slew of new initiatives at Tech Growth Conclave

Bhopal, April 28, 2025 —
In a significant push towards becoming a leading technology hub, the Madhya Pradesh government announced a series of new initiatives at the Tech Growth Conclave 2025, held in Bhopal on Monday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the state’s commitment to fostering innovation, supporting startups, and creating a future-ready workforce.
The event, which attracted entrepreneurs, tech giants, and policy makers from across India, marked a turning point in Madhya Pradesh’s digital transformation journey.
Key Announcements at the Conclave
Among the headline announcements was the launch of the Madhya Pradesh Startup Acceleration Program, aimed at providing financial support, mentorship, and market access to early-stage companies. The government plans to create five new tech incubation centers across major cities, including Indore, Bhopal, and Gwalior.
“We are not just talking about startups; we are creating an ecosystem where innovation thrives,” said CM Yadav. “Madhya Pradesh will become the new destination for young innovators and entrepreneurs.”
In addition to supporting startups, the government also unveiled the MP Future Skills Initiative, a state-funded program designed to train over one lakh students in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
Boost for Infrastructure and Investment
Another major focus of the conclave was improving the state’s digital infrastructure. The government announced plans to expand high-speed internet connectivity to rural and semi-urban areas, aiming for 100% broadband coverage by 2027.
To encourage private investment, Madhya Pradesh introduced a Tech Investment Facilitation Cell that will offer a single-window clearance system for companies looking to set up operations in the state. Officials revealed that talks are already underway with several major technology firms for potential investment deals.
Focus on Women Entrepreneurs
Recognizing the growing role of women in the tech space, the government also launched the Women in Tech MP Program, which will offer dedicated grants, workspace subsidies, and mentorship opportunities to female founders and innovators.
“Empowering women in technology is not just a goal — it is a necessity for holistic development,” said Minister of IT and Skill Development, Rajesh Sharma, during his address.
Industry Reaction
The industry response to the announcements has been largely positive.
Priya Verma, a startup founder from Indore, said, “This is a game-changer. Until now, most support systems were concentrated in metro cities like Bengaluru or Hyderabad. With these initiatives, Madhya Pradesh is setting the stage to become a major player in India’s tech ecosystem.”
Meanwhile, executives from major IT firms expressed interest in exploring partnerships with the state government, citing Madhya Pradesh’s growing talent pool and lower operational costs compared to other tech hubs.
Looking Ahead
The Tech Growth Conclave concluded with a renewed sense of optimism about Madhya Pradesh’s technological future. The government’s vision is clear: to position the state not just as a participant in India’s digital economy, but as a leader.
If the announced programs are successfully implemented, Madhya Pradesh could soon be on the map as one of India’s premier destinations for technology, innovation, and investment.
