‘Operation Sindoor achieved 100% success’: BJP lauds action against Pakistan

New Delhi, May 12, 2025 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hailed Operation Sindoor as a complete success, praising Indian forces for their precise and effective action. The military launched the operation after terrorists killed 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on May 7.
BJP spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra said the mission hit every planned target. “India showed the world that no territory is beyond our reach,” he said. He described the strike as a clear warning to those supporting terror.
A Response to Pahalgam Massacre
India launched the operation days after the brutal Pahalgam attack. The military targeted nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). These locations reportedly housed militants from banned groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Air Force jets and drones carried out the assault using precision weapons. The strikes destroyed terror launchpads, control centers, and weapons depots. Reports suggest Indian forces eliminated over 100 militants and hit key infrastructure.
BJP’s Stand on the Operation
Dr. Patra said India focused solely on terror networks, not the Pakistani military or civilians. “Our fight is against terrorism, not ordinary citizens of Pakistan,” he said. He added that India’s defense systems intercepted every drone launched in retaliation.
The BJP also highlighted India’s growing military strength. Party leaders plan to showcase the operation as a sign of strong leadership ahead of the next parliamentary session.
Armed Forces Speak Out
Air Marshal A.K. Bharti addressed the media to explain the mission. He said the strikes avoided civilian areas and focused only on terror camps. “We showed restraint but acted decisively when needed,” he said.
India used home-grown air defense systems to stop incoming drones. Experts believe this shows India’s rising self-reliance in defense technology.
Global and Regional Reaction
Pakistan condemned the strike and called it unjustified. However, its military avoided large-scale retaliation. Minor skirmishes happened along the Line of Control, but international mediators helped calm tensions. Former U.S. President Donald Trump played a role in brokering a ceasefire.
While some nations urged caution, others backed India’s right to defend its citizens. Security analysts say the strike will likely reduce terror infiltration in the short term.
A New Message from India
Dr. Patra said Operation Sindoor proved India will no longer tolerate cross-border terror. “This was not just a response. It was a bold message to every enemy of peace,” he said.
The BJP plans to hold rallies and briefings to honor the armed forces. Leaders also want to inform the public about India’s evolving counter-terror strategy.
