Today in Politics: PM Modi to launch projects in Haryana to mark Ambedkar Jayanti, Rahul to pay tribute in Parliament

PM Modi to Launch Key Projects in Haryana on Ambedkar Jayanti; AAP, Telangana Govt Also in Action
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. His visit includes major development announcements in Hisar and Yamuna Nagar.
Modi’s Focus on Infrastructure and Green Energy
In Hisar, PM Modi will launch a new commercial flight service connecting Hisar and Ayodhya. He will also lay the foundation stone of a new terminal at Hisar airport. These steps aim to boost regional air connectivity and travel convenience.
Later in Yamuna Nagar, the Prime Minister will launch multiple infrastructure projects. A key highlight is the 800 MW power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant. This project will help meet the state’s energy demands and reduce power shortages.
He will also launch a compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Mukarabpur. This plant is part of the Gobardhan scheme, which promotes bio-waste-to-energy conversion. It supports sustainable energy while offering economic benefits to farmers and rural communities.
PM Modi will further inaugurate the 14.4 km Rewari Bypass, a ₹1,070 crore project under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. This highway development will ease traffic and enhance road transport in the region.
National Leaders Pay Tribute to Ambedkar
On the same day, leaders across political lines will pay tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Rahul Gandhi will offer floral tributes.
This unified participation reflects the widespread respect for Ambedkar’s work in shaping India’s Constitution and promoting equality.
AAP Plans Strategy for Gujarat Bypoll
In Gujarat, AAP leaders are preparing for the upcoming Viswadar Assembly bypoll. Senior party figures will meet to finalize strategies. The session follows the week-long visit of new state in-charge Gopal Rai and co-in-charge Durgesh Pathak.
AAP aims to expand its base in Gujarat after setbacks in the Delhi Assembly elections. The party had won 32 seats in local body polls and ranked second in over 250 wards earlier this year.
Leaders confirmed that AAP will contest the 2027 Gujarat elections alone, without partnering with the Congress. This decision reflects their goal to strengthen their independent identity in the state.
Telangana Unveils Land Record Reform
The Telangana government will launch a new land records portal called ‘Bhu Bharati’. The system will first run as a pilot in three mandals. It aims to fix problems users faced with the earlier ‘Dharani’ portal, which was set up under the BRS government.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met with officials and asked for feedback-based improvements. He wants the new platform to be user-friendly, transparent, and efficient.
The new system is part of the Congress government’s promise to reform digital governance and address citizen concerns.
Conclusion
April 14 is not just a tribute to Dr. Ambedkar. It also marks a day of major developments across Indian politics. From PM Modi’s initiatives in Haryana to AAP’s push in Gujarat and Telangana’s digital reforms, leaders are setting the tone for progress.
These efforts, if implemented well, could improve connectivity, boost green energy, streamline governance, and shape future elections.
